She’s more than just a pretty actress, she’s a human rights force to be reckoned with! And Ashley Judd was putting her money where her mouth is earlier today.

The “A Time To Kill” beauty was spotted at the United Nations in New York City for a press conference regarding the ending of human trafficking. And she looked business-like-yet-cute in a pale green patterned dress with her hair pulled back.

Yesterday on the Today show, Judd voiced her concerns regarding the issue, having just returned from a three-week humanitarian mission to Rwanda and the Congo.

She said, “A woman’s body is not the property of any church, state or other human being. When I come home from a trip like that, I am in such a state of grief and mourning. There’s a lot of good news, but I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t grieve and mourn as well.”

Ashley also said that she plans to continue working for the benefit of the Third World women trapped into sex slavery.
