Amy Winehouse: Not Going to Rehab

Sporting yet another flattering look, Amy Winehouse was spotted leaving her North London home this morning to spend some time in the city.

The “Back to Black” babe was smoking a large hand-rolled cigarette as she made her way to the car wearing a black tank top and long red shorts.

As for the recent rumors that the troubled 24-year-old was planning on checking into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic in Bury St. Edmonds, her publicist has come out, saying she isn’t.

With a hint of disappointment that his client won’t be getting the help that she needs, he told press, “Unfortunately the residents of Bury won’t be enjoying Amy’s company.”

Amy Winehouse: Released from Hospital

It was a scary scene outside of Amy Winehouse’s Camden London home yesterday, as paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital emergency room. And twelve hours later, she’s been released.

The troubled singer was transported via ambulance to University College Hospital last night (July 28) following an apparent seizure believed to be caused by some new sobriety medication.

Her rep, Chris Goodman, told press, “Amy is fine and she is on her way home. She was taking a new [medication] as part of her anti-drug treatment program. And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one.”

Goodman also commented that the “Rehab” songstress will be taking it easy for the next few months. “She has a few gigs to perform. After [playing a few summer] festivals, she is going to continue writing her new album. It will be rest and writing.”
