With the big “Sex and the City: The Movie” premiere going on last night, it’s only fitting that the afterparty was just as swanky and fabulous. And what better place to hold such a soiree than the Museum of Modern Art!
It was literally a who’s who of female stars, as everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker & Co., to Fergie, to news anchor Katie Couric, to Lohan-BFF Samantha Ronson all showed up.
Still wearing her strapless silver gown, SJP looked overwhelmed with the response the new flick had garnered from her American audience as she mingled through the crowd with hubby Matthew Broderick.
Not to be outdone by any of her co-stars, Kim Cattrall sported a more streamlined cleavage-baring shimmery dress with a pair of strappy heels, while Kristin Davis went more conservative in a gold-colored princess-style garment with peep-toe shoes.
Always the daring fashionista, Fergie opted for a champagne-hued seahorse dress complete with a matching jacket and a pair of salmon open-toed heels. And fellow musician Samantha Ronson stuck to her familiar ensemble of a black jacket, white t-shirt, skinny jeans and a pair of circa-1984 hi-tops.
According to press, “Swarovski provided over a half a million dollars worth of sparkling decor, including 10,000 crystals for the pink carpet and more than 500 crystal heart ornaments to adorn the trees in the garden at MOMA.”
Harry Medved from Fandango said, “We can’t remember the last time a movie has created so much anticipation among female moviegoers from their 20s through their 40s.”
