If you’ve been chomping at the bit while you wait for the upcoming Sex and the City film to be released, there’s good news. Jennifer Hudson will be joining the girls for a supporting role in the movie.
That’s right, the American Idol finalist will be playing Carrie Bradshaw ( Sarah Jessica Parker)’s personal assistant. The 26-year-old is getting pretty used to the idea of being an actress these days.
After she came in 7th in Season 3 of American Idol, Jennifer made waves with her amazing portrayal of Effie White in the movie “Dreamgirls.” And with a cast that included Beyonce Knowles, Jaime Foxx, and Eddie Murphy, that’s saying something.
The new Sex movie starts filming in mid-November with a release date to be sometime next year. We’ll keep you updated on everything Sex and the City, so stay tuned!
